Commercial Description:
After researching brewing styles from the turn of the last century, Capital has created an outstanding, mild, American-style beer. This pilsner beer comes from an old Wisconsin recipe, circa 1900, and has a smoothness that the big beer companies will envy.

On tap at the tap room at Capital brewery. Very clean easy drinker. Light body a great example of a good american lager. Brewed in a pre-prohibition style. Good use of wheat and pilsner malt. Very little hops, but is good. Great session beer

Slightly hazed golden with a foamy off-white head. Fairly neutral dry malty aroma. Smells a lot like dried malt extract. The flavor is not too shabby and exceeds the expectations presented by the aroma. Just sweet enough and just enough hops to balance things out. Not over carbonated medium-light body. Nice beer. Nothing fancy, just plain good beer.

Watching ’Goonies’, having some dirty rice...this beer goes great with it. Minimal white head, fizzy yellow body and a whole lotta bubbles. Almost no aroma, but a very very smooth taste and light body. A twinge of malt and a citrus bounce, but nothing too memorable. Feels like what macro beers WANT to taste like.

Big white head, clear, pale yellow appearance. Honey and floral notes on the nose. Smooth, mellow. I’m not a lager lover, but I didn’t dislike this one. Decent, if only to the point of inoffensiveness. Not something I’d purchase again, but I won’t slander it either.

12 oz bottle: Clean pale yellow hay...large, overly carbonated off white foam. Sweet malted grain aroma with buttery caramel undertones...smooth palate, which is lighter than I was expecting with large foam. Sweet cereal, honey and grass make up a decent flavour, not bad.

Bottle. Rusty yellow body. Taste is like cereal and malt mixed with a touch of vinegar. There is a sourness to this thats is good, but I don’t know if it belongs.
