argo0 (6231), Washington DC, USA Sep 28, 2005 (12oz bottle) Clear apple juice body with small white head. Aroma is moderately sweet, apple, bread, apricot. Taste is medium sweet, grassy, apple, some bread, light apricot. Watery light-medium body, some crispness. Because it aims for a style I know nothing about, I have no idea if it succeeds. That being said, it is flavorful and fairly enjoyable. CaptainCougar (4664), Rockville, Maryland, USA Aug 24, 2002 Kinda tastes like a cross between coors light and budweiser, but with a crisper hop aroma. Pale golden color with virtually no head. Perhaps my least favorite Capital product I have tried. hopdog (4654), Lansdale, Pennsylvania, USA Nov 21, 2005 Poured a medium and lightly cloudy golden color with a very small sized white head. Aromas of flowers. Tastes of grain, flowers with a very light grassy finish. Aromas and tastes on the lighter side. Thin and watery body. JorisPPattyn (4500), Antwerpen, Belgium Oct 1, 2005 Orange-tinted gold; virtually no head, just a mm-wide rim. Shoe polish, sweet cookie malt, nutty, some oxydation, honey. Nutty, again oxydized flavour, ending metallic bitterish after mainly sweet main taste, faint fruity. Weird fruit, as wild prunes or pimpernel... Very empty palate, slightly slick. Interesting from an historical point of view. Less from the beerlovers’ point. muzzlehatch (4424), Burlington, Vermont, USA Aug 20, 2002 Average amber lager appearance, smallish head. Sweetish only faintly hoppy nose; flavor on the sweet side with a distinctive apricot presence, more malty than hoppy and as the label says, smooth. Quick clean finish. I liked this a little more than most of you, but I think 2002 American beermaking has 1900 beat hands down.
