Slightly hazy pretty ruby body. Slowly receding off white head. Lacing is sparse and light. Aroma is of plentiful toasted grains, light smokiness, candied caramel, molasses, licorice, fruits and maize. Toastier, with more caramel in the flavor. Very believable authenticity. Additions of apricot and mustiness. Smoke is still light, slightly sweet. Bitterness is low. Palate is medium-full, a touch sticky. Finishes full bodied, lightly sweet. Alcohol is masked throughout quite marvelously. Nicely done.

Copper/amber, with an off white head. Aroma is dark fruit, caramel, and malt. Flavor is caramel, fruit, and malt. Fairly heavy body. A nice sipper...

Pour is a dark caramel color that forms into a decent head that faded pretty quick. Smell is ok, lot’s of malts in it. Plums? Taste is that of a solid Dopple, almost sweet with the fruits. Very drinkable brew.

Courtesy boboski. Clear amber/ruby and a short lived white head. Nose of rich, bready malt, dark fruits, licorice candy, earth, airy yeast. Flavor adds toffee and cocoa powder. Medium/full body, balanced carbonation. Very tasty, well done doppelbock.

Bottle as trade with shigadeyo. Poured hazy dark reddish brown with a large light brown head that diminished slowly with good lacing. Good caramel toasted tart fruit aroma. Medium body with a sticky texture. Good well balanced tart fruit malty flavor with a moderate smooth balanced finish of moderate duration. Good drinkable beer.

12 oz bottle. Poured pretty thick. Clear dark orange in color. Head was off white with good retention and lacing. Strong malt dominated aroma with toffee, molasses, apple, and alcohol. Warm and somewhat sweet on the tongue. Boozy and malty like molasses and rum. Not bad, but not my bag.

12 oz bottle from KingpinIPA. Thanks for the brew. This beer is awesome. Big, bold Amber color. Almost looks Neon. Aroma is a lot like a scotch ale - roasty coffee and whisky. Taste is like caramel, toffee, scotch whiskey and brown sugar all mixed together to make a fine beverage. I could drink this daily.

Rich clear red color. Big wheat/bread aromas. Some purple fruits, plum, and prune in the nose as well. Alcohol is very apparent but you can’t expect any thing less from a doppelbock. Reminds me of a light scotch almost. Sugary sweet taste with some caramel in the middle. Overall an interesting and moderatly complex beer.
