Trev (587), Lakeville, Minnesota, USA Sep 16, 2008 pours a nice dark amber-copper colour with a light tan head. Aroma is roast malt, caramel, cherry wood, light herbal hop.
Flavour is biscuity malt, a little thin on the palate I thought. Light medicinal alc.-hop bitterness. I wasn’t as impressed with this one as a lot of people apparently are. Not bad though.
CaryTheDude (443), Ripon, Wisconsin, USA Nov 2, 2008 Crushed with Honkeybra. What matters most is how well you walk through the fire, aight? Much malt sweetness on the nose, and a awesome mouthfeel. Always impressed by doppels with a good hop presence, and that’s why I’m impressed. Very drinkable. HonkeyBra (476), Lemont, Illinois, USA Nov 1, 2008 Crushed with thedude in Galesburg, IL at Budde’s Pizza. This is alright. Amber pour. A bit sweet and some hops. Good mouthfeel, finish is a bit dry.
