Kind of like drinking a black and tan that was not poured well. I have not had a lot of baltic porters and this reminds me that I need to track down a few of the better ones to try. bvc (347), Kenmore, Washington, USA

A caramel biscuit nose with hints of tobacco. Taste is faint with no serious flavors coming to the front. Some bread, caramel and dark fruit in there. Not a very inspiring beer. The aroma is a chocolatey dark toffee with hints of dried fruit. The flavor has a touch of roastiness, dark caramel, thin molasses, and raisins. Well hidden alcohol content. The sweet finish lasts for quite a while. Not bad. TKA300 (100), Carbondale, Illinois, USA
| 3.4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 14/20 | Jan 10, 2009 Very very dark brown with a very strong scent. Pretty foamy head that lasted for a fair amount of time. Tasted a lot like caramel and some oaky flavors, plus something I can’t really put my finger on. Finishes strong and lingers on the taste buds for a long time. WisconsinBeer (531), St Paul, Minnesota, USA

Flavor is caramel malt, candy sugar, some banana bread. Spice notes of cinnamon and a hint of pepper. Finish is lingering and a bit syrupy. Medium bodied. Solid. | 3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 12/20 | Jan 9, 2009 Pours a clear nutmeg brown with very little tan head. Aroma is of a malt, cinnamon and dark bread. Flavor is a bit watery but of malts and chocolate. There are definite cola notes with how watery it is. Body is light with fair carbonation. | 3.8 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 8/10 | 4/5 | 15/20 | Dec 31, 2008 Brown with a roasty-sweet aroma with dark fruit and chocolate. Flavor is a bit roasty with figs, chocolate, and dark bread. More Doppel-bockish than most Baltic porters, but it works. troyc (1175), Lubbock, Texas, USA
| 3.3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 14/20 | Dec 31, 2008 [Bottle] Pours a very dark brown color with a beige head. Aroma of coffee and cocoa. Taste is reminiscent of a sweet stout, in my opinion. Roasted dark malts and dry chocolate notes in the flavor. Mouthfeel on the thin side. The alcohol is there, but not as strong as one might expect. It’s pretty decent overall.
