Very sweet malts, a slight hop presence, and a fairly thin body. Everything about this screams pumped up amber. Decent for what it is, but I cannot for the life of me see how this is a Baltic porter. hopdog (5617), Lansdale, Pennsylvania, USA
| 3.6 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 14/20 | Jul 19, 2008 12oz bottle. Poured a dark amberish / brownish color with an averaged sized off white head. Aromas of roast, chocolate, caramel, and I’m getting a light smoked wood. Tastes of roast, dark fruits, chocolate, and caramel. Alcohol content hidden. GAManiac (1197), Atlanta, Georgia, USA
| 3.4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 14/20 | Jul 16, 2008 Bottle. Pours a dark, dark translucent mahogany with a small, dense off-white head that hangs around for a little while before forming a ring and leaves slight traces of lacing. The smell is extremely sweet and dominated by roasted malts with chocolate and coffee. The taste is also very sweet with caramel malts again dominating with chocolate and coffee underpining. I can certainly say I would never have pegged this as a Baltic Porter if not for the label on the bottle. The mouthfeel is light for a Baltic Porter but about right for something like a doppelbock. The drinkability is extremely good and I could definitely down a couple of these. As a Baltic Porter, this is an average beer, but it’s a pretty darn good doppelbock style brew. davidoc (113), Chicago, Illinois, USA

Sweet caramel flavor, a bit woody, dark fruit, hints of milk chocolate. Very sweet and soft - very easy drinking given the 8.5%. Pretty tasty brew. IPAaLLtHEwAY (137), La Crosse, Wisconsin, USA
