Commercial Description:
While being a mild pilsner style beer, Bavarian Lager is our version of a clasic German "Helles" style of beer from Bavaria. Bavarian Lager is pale golden colored with a nice hop character over-laying mellow malt flavor.

12 oz brown bottle available from Armanetti’s, Mundelein, IL. Hazy golden yellow lager having an average diminishing white head with fair lacing. Intoxicating aroma with spice, hopflowers, and sweet fruit esters. Soft carbonation. Medium bodied that starts dry with hint of sweet malt flavor, touches of toffee and fruit, and moderate sharp bitterness. Finishes dry with slight hop. An excellent tasty beer.

Very low in carbination, I received no head. Color is a nice deep gold. Simple malt base, tastes same goin in as goin down with a sour bready after taste. Minimal hops. Good beer to wash down pizza or a burger.

(12 oz bottle: Obtained in trade with hopdog, thanks Steve!) Yikes, this doesn’t exactly pour to a good-looking beer. Very hazy, medium golden color is nice, but there are absolutely no carbonation bubbles rising through the beer, and the white head didn’t even pour to a complete coating atop the beer. And within a minute, it has fades to just a small ring. Odd, since there was adequate carbonation release when I removed the twist-top cap. But much more importantly, the flavor is decent. A distinctly German maltiness dominates this lager with an authentically bready flavor from start to finish. A mildly bitter finish complements the malt nicely, happily remaining in the background rather than trying to compete with the malt. Bready, malty nose is quite aromatic and pleasing. Fairly smooth and malty finish for this light-medium bodied brew, and carbonation levels seem fine. Not a bad-tasting beer at all, but man, it’s sure one butt-ugly brew.

Pours to a glowing copper body with a thin to non-existent (after 5 seconds) white head. The aroma is flowery hops and cooked vegetables and honey. The flavor is quite nice. Sweet floral hops, honey, simple and refreshing. The palate is smooth and goes down clean. The palate really excels on a hot humid day like today. Even though the rating is a 3.4, I’d still recommend trying this one. It’s quite good. I could pound a 12er of these.

Pours a deep gold color with a nice tight head. Aroma of musty carrots and some flowers. There is also cornmeal. The taste is slightly sweet floral with some sweet honey. The nouthfeel is strangely poweder like. There is a slight celery spice to the finish. Thanks for the bottle, Duane.

Golden colour. Low visible carbonation and no head. It looks terrible. Quick, easy-drinking helles with simple pale malt flavours. Slightly metallic with a light earthiness in the finish. As with most of their beers, it needs more melanoidins to excel.

Bottle: Clear golden, large white fluffy head, lively carbonation, with surprisingly sticky lacing.   Typical grassy nose, clean, with a sweeter malt profile than most.   Malty tongue, quite sweet, and very clean.   Moderate body and mouthfeel.   Clean crisp finish, lingering sweetness.   Not much to this, but goes down super easy.
