Commercial Description:
While being a mild pilsner style beer, Bavarian Lager is our version of a clasic German "Helles" style of beer from Bavaria. Bavarian Lager is pale golden colored with a nice hop character over-laying mellow malt flavor.

Pours a lightly hazy amber with a very thin cap of white foam. This changes rapidly to just a ring around the edge, leaving minimal spotty lace. Mild sweet malt in the aroma with a touch of caramel malt. Subtle sweet honeymalt / caramel malt flavor, minimal hop presence for balance only. Better than a macrolager by far, but ultimately lacking any interesting character. For the same price you could pick up their Special Pilsner (which is much better), or if you were so inclined - three times as many fluid ounces of Stroh’s.

Clear dandelion yellow pour produces a grainy hay aroma. I’m almost finished with the glass and haven’t gotten much for flavor aside from a mostly malty, sour grain body with a little citrus punch. Really though, it was quite nice – crisp and clean in the mouth and likely a good choice for summer.

Sampled at Capital Brewery in Middleton, WI. Golden in color with a large, frothy white head. Honey, grainy aroma. Light grains in the aroma, some clover honey. Light carbonation with a sweet wheaty aftertaste.

Bottle sampled with Stegosaurus. Pours golden with a white head. Aroma of fruit, hops, and sweet malts. The flavor is boring, mildly bitter, slightly sweet, and fruit. ok beer.

Lots of chalky malt taste, no hops, and a yeasty sour lemon taste that unevenly clashes with the excessive malt. Too make it worse it is has too much carmel sweetness. Largers are often dull and bland and this is very true of this stuff.
