| 3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 12/20 | Mar 4, 2007 Pours a lightly hazy amber with a very thin cap of white foam. This changes rapidly to just a ring around the edge, leaving minimal spotty lace. Mild sweet malt in the aroma with a touch of caramel malt. Subtle sweet honeymalt / caramel malt flavor, minimal hop presence for balance only. Better than a macrolager by far, but ultimately lacking any interesting character. For the same price you could pick up their Special Pilsner (which is much better), or if you were so inclined - three times as many fluid ounces of Stroh’s.

| 3.5 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 14/20 | Oct 31, 2009 Pours a slightly dark yellow with a white creamy head that lasts the duration. Some good lacing on the glass. Lots of malty aroma. Some bitter hops hiding behind the malt supply a pleasant after taste. This is probably what the average macro tasted like 100+ years ago before corn and rice became the major ingredient. Today it’s just an above average, yet wayyyy over priced micro brew. vomit (65), USA
| 3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 4/10 | 2/5 | 14/20 | Oct 6, 2009 It ain’t great, but it’s better than garbage. This is probably akin to Val’s 1st attempts at brewing his wondrous pleasure elixir (Blatz & Blatz light). It’s raw, and a little sweet (something like the neighbors wife). You could probably get goofed up on this stuff, but price-wise it can’t compete with Lost Lake, Grain Belt, Hamms or Mountain Creek, so why bother? Keep a few on hand for the pesky neighbor/minister/in-laws and in no time at all, they will know how you REALLY feel about them. And you can smile to yourself, and reach into your "secret stash" of Blatz and grin with the solace of a dead man! bhensonb (4358), Woodland, California, USA
| 2.9 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 4/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 4/5 | 12/20 | Oct 2, 2009 Bottle from Archer Liquors. Pours amber gold with a decent white head. Aroma is bready with some grassy hop. Light in body, average in carbonation. It’s a tad biscuit and nicely bitter in a grassy way. Slightly astringent. Clean, bitter finish. | 3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 4/5 | 5/10 | 3/5 | 12/20 | Sep 30, 2009 Pours golden with a nice big tight white creamy head and a ton of bubbles coming from the bottom of the glass, this is one nice looking beer. The aroma is nicely hoppy with some grainy characteristics, and some honey. The flavor is off, I’ve had this before and it’s been better so I think I might have to re rate this one. There are beautiful soft malty notes, with bits of saltiness, and good noble hops.... by all means this should be an exemplary helles but there is a odd tartness and almost a pond water on marshmallow sort of mixture that throws all the pleasantries off. Maybe this is an old bottle, who knows, but I think this sucker deserves another chance when I get an opportunity. omhper (12247), Stockholm, Sweden
| 3.5 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 5/5 | 13/20 | Sep 29, 2009 Bottled at Monk’s Café Wallingatan, Stockholm. Clear golden, fairly rich head. Grassy nose. Depp buttery papery malt with rather soft edges. Gentle and lightly fruity. Mild and very drinkable. Balanced bitterness. Soothing and pleasant in an atypical way for American attempts at brewing German style beers. arkurzynski (100), West Bend, Wisconsin, USA
