Commercial Description:
While being a mild pilsner style beer, Bavarian Lager is our version of a clasic German "Helles" style of beer from Bavaria. Bavarian Lager is pale golden colored with a nice hop character over-laying mellow malt flavor.

Bottled at Monk’s Café Wallingatan, Stockholm. Clear golden, fairly rich head. Grassy nose. Depp buttery papery malt with rather soft edges. Gentle and lightly fruity. Mild and very drinkable. Balanced bitterness. Soothing and pleasant in an atypical way for American attempts at brewing German style beers.

Golden colour. Low visible carbonation and no head. It looks terrible. Quick, easy-drinking helles with simple pale malt flavours. Slightly metallic with a light earthiness in the finish. As with most of their beers, it needs more melanoidins to excel.

12oz bottle. Poured a medium and slightly hazy golden color with a small sized white head. Aromas of grain, light honey, and some bread. Tastes of bread, grain, honey, and a light grassy finish. Thin body.

Clear golden color with a sweet German hoppy aroma. Somewhat dull flavor but the finish is clean, dry, and refreshing, with even some sour notes and a medium bitterness. A fairly respectable helles.

Clear yellow. Smells like nasty apple-malt syrup, like a brew which wasn't done brewing yet, brought out of the brewing equipment too soon. Smells like rotting apricots. Thin and light, the taste is not as offending as the smell, but it's still bad. Just a light wheat and grapes and vegetables, but the smell kills it... just plain awful.

Americans CAN make good lagers, and this is one of them. It pours a hazy, deep golden color with a a minimalist’s head. Rich malty aroma with rich malty tastes and a wee blanced hoppiness. This slides down smoothly with a crisp, satisfying finish.

Light golden color with a frothy white head. Slight DMS in the aroma along with noble hops. Mild malt and a touch to bitter for style. Quite average.
