Received a bottle of the experimental beer from oetii. Pours a semi-hazy golden straw colored brew with a fast dissolving white head that dissipates nearly clean. Aroma of golden grain malt, some Belgian yeast, a hint of clove, white pepper and a touch of honey. Taste is medium bodied, very light carbonation with flavors of sourdough bread dough, mild banana esters, a touch of coriander and honey. Finish is slightly tart and semi-dry with a light yeast aftertaste that quickly disappears.

Thanks to Steve for the bottle! Poured hazy straw golden with a short-lived cap of white head. The aroma picked up spicy yeast, white pepper, and coriander over some quasi-sweet banana.. decent balance to it. The flavor opened with lightly tart wheat and orange zest with some pale malts and honey behind.. coriander, white pepper, and dry yeast laced throughout.. finished dry and spicy with a bit of sourdough. Lighter-bodied with moderate carbonation on the palate.. overall quite dry.. mild tartness proved refreshing.. decent stuff.

Capital Island wheat made with Belgian yeast. Experimental per the brewery. Aroma of barley, malt, honey and mild yeast. Mild tasting with moderate Belgian yeast on the finish, malt, mild wheat and a touch of fruit. It’s okay, a little better than Island wheat but something is still a bit amiss with it.

Served in the WORT-FM "No Crap on Tap" beer garden. Pours a hazy blonde, abundant, creamy, short-lived white head. Subdued bubblegum-wheat aromas. Mild gumball flavor profile, more sweet than dry, with a tart fruity edge that’s a little bit citrus, a little bit cherry pits. Creamy mouthfeel, but somewhat still on the palate. Combined with the sweetness, this heaviness came off slightly cloying. Nonetheless tasty.
