Big Munich malt aroma, bready, toasty, and with little hints of the sweetness you will experience in the taste. Flavor is a candy like sweetness mixed with the wonderful bready texture of the German malts. The sweetness of the melanoidins was intoxicating, just the most pleasant kiss I’ve had in a long time. Normally not a fan of pale Doppels, but this is such a treat. don’t understand the low ratings

Pours a golden amber. Head off white. smells of brown sugar, dark fruits, and good malts. Taste is a bit of biscuit a bit of fruits and caramel. Creamy feeling on the mouth. thanks brewblackhole!

Had this one on draught at the brewery in Middleton, Wisconsin. Cloudy, dark golden pour with a light nose of spice and nutmeg, bitter but malty, complex finish.

12 oz bottle. Poured a clear light orange color. Head was thin and off white. Smelled of grassy hops, subdued brown sugar, and husky grain. It was a little skunky as well. Sweet on the tongue with lots of fruit flavor including cherry and pear. There was also some cereal grain, skunk, and grassy hops. I’m not a big fan of this one. Average at best.

(Bottle) Pours a light amber color with a white head. Aroma of light and dark malts, with some dark fruit as well. Taste includes a lot of rich malts, with some biscuit and caramel. Creamy, almost oily mouthfeel. A solid beer that is very drinkable at the same time.

Thanks to ughsmash for this one! Creamy head of off-white over a medium yellow/amber body. Light bready malt aroma with just a touch of hops. Smooth, easy drinking. Could be a bit more robust to get a higher rating from me.

Bottle from secret santa. Thanks! Pale amber color. Nice small to microbuble head. Little clinging to glass edge. Aroma is mild of a little corriander, and the mildest of skunk. Flavor is mild, possibly a little bit vegetal and tiniest of sour. But these off flavors are very mild. Leans toward the sweet side. Medium to light body. Decent if there is nothing else around.
