Bottle: Pours a light copper color with an off white head. Aroma, biscuity malts, caramel, toasted notes, and some herbal hops. Flavor, toasty, some caramel, boozy notes, fruits. Finishes pretty sweet, some alcohol is apparent. Not bad.

Light amber color with off-white head. Caramel and malt on the nose. Flavor is sweet, yet well balanced with a burn of alcohol and hint of hops. Full flavored and well rounded ale. Thanks to Skyview for this pour.

Didnt pour a blonde, but more of an amber hue with a medium sized head that left good lacing on the glass. Aroma of fruits and caramel malt. Taste of toffee, but not overly sweet, additional taste of signature Capitol malts and some floral hops. Mouthfeel very light and smooth with a thin viscosity and good carbonation. A very good and complex, rich tasting bock that isnt overpowering in it’s malty tastes - just right.

Very malty aroma. Poured with a nice head that faded to a light cover. Some lace. Nice deep amber color. Great body. Flavor is huge caramel malt. Hint of alcohol. Very good beer. Pleasant finish too. Had this bottle at Bodega Brew Pub downtown La Crosse, WI USA. Occasionaly they have it on draft too.

Thanks to buckybeer for the bottle. Clear orange with a small head. Aroma of toffee, caramel and sweet cherries. Flavor was mostly sweet with some hop bitterness. Alcohol seems to be hidden well. Fine brew.

Pours an orangey amber with a one finger head that dissipates quickly and leaves minimal lacing. Aroma is sweet sugary malts and some yeast. Taste is honey, camel, bananas, apples, and cotton candy. Mouthfeel is smooth and creamy. Incredibly drinkable - perfect compliment to a beautiful spring day!

6/04/2007: Perfect pour into my Avinger Celebrator Doppelbock glass... Capital Blonde Doppelbock is deep golden yellow, almost shiny copper, but not quite amber in color with a dense, foamy, and lasting off-white head. It appears to be lightly carbonated with larbe bubbles that race quickly to the surface. The aroma is mildly sweet with pale, toasted grain, some fruitiness, and a suggestion of alcohol. The flavor is strong and malty with lots of pale malt flavor and hints of honey, but it isn’t thick or heavy at all. Nor is it overly sweet. There is a very mild amount of floral hop bitterness just before the finish. Very good and very well balanced. The body of this beer is medium and is quite smooth. Wow! This is probably the lightest, easiest to drink Doppelbock that I have ever experienced. Quite unique overall as far as Doppelbocks go...

12 oz bottle via trade with buckybeer. Thanks again Mark!
