thanks to duane for the bottle, pours a hazy light brown color with a thin layer of white head. aroma is sweet and malty, with some yeasty tones coming up. the flavor is packed with sweetness, tons of malts and just abit of hops at the end of the mouthful. body is pretty full for a beer this light, a rich almost creamy mouthfeel. there is a hint of the alcohol at the tail end, and that is actually what lingers from the aftertaste. overall a very flavorful brew, but a little one dimensional (all sweet malts).

The GO TO brew for this time of year. Wonderful malty sweetness to this one that is so easy drinking you may be through half a sixer and plastered before you know it. Proceed with caution.

Yum. Golden to copper in color with a lacey white head. Light caramel malt and spicey yeast fill the nose. Flavor is so clean. Malty, pilsen and caramel, just a light hint of toast in the finish. Hop character is very subdued, just adding some bitterness. The yeast is spicey, a just noticable ester that I’ve really come to look forward to in the Capital Bocks. This beer is smooth and totally hides the alcohol with its sweet malt charater. Another great lager from Capital.

Thanks to Duane, Poured a hazy brown with a huge foamy tan head. Immediate Banana aroma. As foam settled, left very good lacing. Aroma of banana, yeast and maybe clove? Taste was sweet/sour malt. Flat taste even with the many tiny bubbles, while not awful, just not my cup of tea. But the ABV was well hidden.

Poured an amber-red with a thin off-white head. Aromas of flowers, caramel and then apple. Flavor is fruity caramel and toffee with noticable alcohol. Initially sweet but it finishes somewhat bitter. Medium body with a slightly oily texture. Good and kind of funky.

Copper/amber with beige head. Caramel, toffee, malt, herbs to the nose. Light carbonation and smooth, medium mouthfeel. Taste was sweet malt, alcohol. Good drink.

Looking and tasting of honey, this beer is the James Brown of the Capital line. It’s pure funk. Take it as you will, good or bad, it’s still funky. A very fresh aroma though, so you could call this one funky-fresh. A delicate blend of sweet and bitter, light and heavy, this beer prominently features its nutty overtones with hints of cloves. Perhaps too cluttered with different tastes? One notable point is that for 8% apv, there is no strong feeling of alcohol.

Pours smooth, with an average head that diminishes at a moderate pace. It’s golden amber in appearance, slightly cloudy with virtually no lacing. The flavors of honey and cloves hint at a white chocolate flavor. Palette is sparkly yet smooth, like most Capital beers I’ve tried. The flavor is complex, sweet and clovey which turns slightly bitter only to finish smooth
