Pours a luxurious golden color with generous white head that retains rather well. Nose is quite appetizing with soft malt aromas, yet is overall clean. On the palate this beer is again clean, crisp, good malt presence with not too much alcohol warmth. Complexity isn’t the goal here, and many other reviewers gave misguided reviews of this beer in my opinion. This straightforward malty, clean bock is very rewarding and hard to find anything in the U.S. that comes close in this style.

12 oz bottle. Pleasant yeasty aroma, diminutively volatile to the nose once in the glass. Slightly darker than pale yellow with no visible CO2. Good fizz on the palate however. Taste is rather medicinal in nature, orange alky @ times. Finish is medium lingering bite. Certainly is 8%.

Bronzed, well-carbonated beer feeding a crisp cream top. Feint malt and grains reach the nose. Light, sweet malt flavor. Somewhat reminiscent of a European Strong Lager. Alcohol is somewhat masked behind some corn-syrup sweetness.

Pours a clear amber with a thick, creamy beige head and lots of lace Aroma is floral with lots of lager yeast. Flavor is deeply vegetal, I don’t really like it, despite generous caramel and spice elements. Full bodied, somewhat cloying.

Bottle. Pours clear dark gold with a 2 finger beige head that results in spotty lacing. The nose is caramel and dark fruits. The taste is caramel malt, brown sugar and light earthy hops in the finish. Light-to-medium bodied. Decent Dopplebock.

Decent light doppelbock, doughy malts, big bodied staying on the sweeter side. Felt a bit flat which emphasized the heaviness to it and sweetness of it. Pours deep gold, good clarity, with a thin white head.

Bottle. Poured honey amber with thick white head. Powerful malt aroma, grass, honey, light syrup. Medium flavour with strong malt tones. Sweet finish with a hop kiss. Seek it in spring. Doesn’t tast as strong as it is.

12 oz. bottle to a Czech pils glass. Poured a gold/amber hue with an off white, diminishing head and fair lacing. The aroma was a little yeast with malt and caramel. Same notes in the flavor plus a little toastiness and a touch of sweetness. Very little hop dryness, and the mouthfeel was smooth and creamy.
