Bottle poured a clear amber with a small lingering off white head. Aromas of carmel, honey, biscuits and a hint of spice. Palate was medium bodied and smooth. Flavors of carmel, honey, light fruittiness and a hint of spice with a smooth sweet finish.

Very malty and smooth. Kind of like a really big Dortmunder. Very nice biscuity malt flavor, though very subtle hopping. Pretty tasty.

Bottle. Aroma of caramel, toffee. Golden appearance with thin white head. Taste is strong peppery alcohol, toffee and caramel. Boiled malt also comes through. Hops are just an after thought. This is a very drinkable beer with some very good base flavors. I donot agree with many on this site who claim that the body is too thick. Thinner body would not balance the alcohol as well.

12oz bottle. Not a huge fan of the style, but here we go... Sweeter aroma of corn and maple syrup, lightly toasted bread. Alcohol and dry hops as well. Pours bright copper with some gold highlights. Thick, sweet, slightly syrupy and cloying with some copper undertones. Bread dough. Bland hops. Candy sugar. Caramel. Medium to full bodied but syrupy which distracts.

Wow, I was excited to try this one. Color was a golden orange. Smell was MALT!, some fruit, some spiciness. The beer is very thick. The mouthfeel is amazing, so thick and sweet. An awesome take on the style, and a great beer nonetheless.

I took "blonde" to mean light, which is a misconception I know, but I was still surprised how substantial this beer was. Lots of caramel, lots of malt, viscous. Not bad, but for all the compounds that were clearly suspended in the liquid (evident from the mouthfeel and thickness), it didn’t taste like all that much. Sort of a mismatch to me. Still, not a bad beer, and I thought it OK. Color is a dirty-blonde amber color. This beer is pretty thick and had very little head. I don’t know the nutritional info on this beer, but pouring gave me the impression that it is a calorie bomb. Aroma is caramel but rather faint. Flavor takes a back-seat to mouthfeel, which is thick and full and combined with the flavor reminiscent of malt syrup. Still, it was good in that the maltiness intensity was clearly communicated, yet the beer didn’t taste grainy or overly cerealy. Not bad, and more than I was expecting. However, I was a bit disappointed in the intensity of flavor delivered, particularly given a very heavy mouthfeel. I’d weakly recommend. I bought this as a single from 3 Cellars in Franklin, WI.

Poured golden with very little head. Aroma - sweet, fruity and caramel. Taste was bready and sweet with notes of candy sugar, apple and malt. A touch of spice and a little bit boozey. Very little carbonation.

A Tasting at Three Cellars Milwaukee WI. On the lighter side being a “blonde” Dopplebock. Yet still with the feel a true Dopplebock. Some nutmeg and spiciness
