Pours dark golden with a medium frothy off-white head. Despite the look, it still has a malty doppelbock aroma, also some candied malt in there too. Sweet candied pale malt, sugary apple/honey flavor. Lightly hopped. Chewy caramel with an alcohol finish, hot. Creamy and sticky body. Strange brew, very sweet.

The appearance of dark honey with an off white head and nice visible carbonation. Aroma is not strong but is delightful offering fruit and yeast. Flavor does as well with candy sugar, alcohol, and caramel. The yeast gives it a "Belgium" attitude. Feel is smooth with a nice zest. The 8% is questioned, but still, this is a GOOD beer. This is one I could spend a lot of time with. Well done!

Color is a deep golden orangy/amber with a head of short fluffy loose whiteness, lace sticks in strings. Smell is a lightened but darker orange and a terrific caramel sweetness in the nose. Rich and creamy taste, a bit of chewyness with good amount of caramel malts and a pretty moderate amount of dulled bitterness that has a great little hold of solid tang from hops. Excellently balanced. Feel is a partially full bodied, light and airy in carbonation and the small amount of chewyness mentioned. Extremely drinkable, yummy, delicious, rich and creamy delightful wonderment. Capital has a winner with this one.

A good head on a golden pillow. Sweet aromas abound. This brew is mildly sweet with hints of roast. Semi creamy effers are appealing. The finish is long and sweet with a touch of tobacco skank.

Pours a very light color for a doppelbock, but I guess that is to be expected. A sweet aroma of fruit, caramel, a bit of chocolate and perhaps some light spice. THe flavor is also quite nice. Fuller than I expected it to be, this was a pleasant surprise. A flavorful beer that hides the alcohol well.

12oz bottle pours a golden color with a faint head. . Flat aroma of carmel . The nose reflects the flavor with some light apple pie and a light bitterness. meh ... its ok.

Pours a clear golden orange color with a medium white head. Aroma of honey, wheat and faint floral malt hops. Taste is hinting on floral with a honey and barley presence. A light malty backbone. Nothing special here.

Light copper with a foamy, patchy head. A sparse, but consistant stream of tiny bubbles rises through the body. Large fruity aroma, with loads of malty pears, raisins, honey, candy sugar and bubblegum. Nice carbonation on the tongue and good flavours: caramel, sticky bitter honey, and some sweet malt. The nice fruit that was in the aroma has disappeared, but the full malt is very pleasant. Doesn't have the typical roasted and nutty flavours of a normal dopplebock, but is a good change of pace. . .
