Aroma began with the butt of a skunk and ended with sugary malt. Nice copper pour with a 2 inch eggshell head that diminished into a small ring around the inside of the glass. Extremely sweet and syrupy with a hint of dark fruit and alcohol. For 8%, this seemed to have a lot of muster. Not a favorite but have had worse.

bottle from my neighbor. pours a slightly orange - golden yellow with a wonderful creamy head. a bit malty but not overpowering and the alcohol is very well hidden. my 4th bottle of this delicious brew, but first since I joined RB. this was the beer that introduced me to doppels and this one is still one of my favorites!

This was almost as good as Capital Maibock. The aroma, appearance, and the taste were all similar, but this was just a bit maltier in taste. Really good, but the Maibock may be a bit better.

Thanks to buckybeer for the bottle. Clear orange with a small head. Aroma of toffee, caramel and sweet cherries. Flavor was mostly sweet with some hop bitterness. Alcohol seems to be hidden well. Fine brew.

Amber-copper in color, sparkling body with tight bubbles. A foamy head and splotchy lacing, looks very common. Doughy malt aroma reminiscent of crackers followed by a sugary apple scent. Malty and fairly sweet, it’s a sturdy brew with a faint bite. Airy and malty with flavors of sweetened bread and light caramel. Green hops help add some balance, finishes a touch grassy.

Pours a distinct amber color. Aroma is malty, and lots of malt. Flavor is a malty, fruity taste, very strong. Alcohol is also slighlty present, but very pleasent. Overall a very nice beer! In my humble opinion under-rated.

Bottle from JPDIPSO. Pours a thick blonde apricot color with nice off white head. Malty sweet biscuity aroma and flavor. Toffee and caramel also make an apperence.Thick and rich onb the palate. Not bad
