12 oz. bottle to a Czech pils glass. Poured a gold/amber hue with an off white, diminishing head and fair lacing. The aroma was a little yeast with malt and caramel. Same notes in the flavor plus a little toastiness and a touch of sweetness. Very little hop dryness, and the mouthfeel was smooth and creamy.

Light amber color, medium short lived head.Aroma was of mild malt with hints of candied fruit. Flavor was basically the same. Nice warming effect.Nice mouthfeel, slightly sticky.Good but nothing complex. Perhaps the fact I drank this at cellar temp instead of cold had something to do with it. I’ll do an add on if need be after a cold one.

12oz bottle from some random grocery store in asheville north carolina. clear amber pour with a thin to medium white head a ring that sticks around. sweet candy apricot and dark fruit aroma. good slick thin to medium syrupy texture and little carbonation. taste seems on the mild side and complicated at the same time. get hints of sour, bread, honey, vegetables and dark fruits.... seems like a strange combination - but everything is tasty enough. wouldn’t drink a sixer. interesting though.

Deep clear crystal amber, orange with thick head and medium sized bubbles. Ton’s of malt and alcohol on the nose, marshmellow and candy, some flesh fruits. Creamy sweet banana, cherry, soft midpalate smooth, with warming alcohol on the finish.

suffersfrom malty-cloying blandness like many capital beers. A big step down from autumnal fire which is sweet but packs serious flavor.

Golden-amber color with rich rocky head. Heavy malty aromas with spicy hop undertones. Fruity aromas are a surprise, almost belgian-like. Sweet caramel maltiness, nicely bittered. Peppery alcohol and fresh hop bitterness lead you to believe that this will finish dry, but it leaves a residual sweetness that's a little sticky.

Pours a hazy rust color with just a little head that leaves some lacing. Smell is sweet and malty with some spiciness as well. Taste is sweet with a nice touch of bitterness in the finish. This is my first doppelbock and I think I got a good one to start out on. I will drink this again.
