Bottle. Poured a deep gold with a moderate creamy white head. The aroma was a rich and aromatic with hints of clove and a malty body. Sweet and malty finishing with some hop bitterness which lingers in the finish. Smooth and full throughout this is quite good.

Thanks to buckybeer for the bottle. Clear orange with a small head. Aroma of toffee, caramel and sweet cherries. Flavor was mostly sweet with some hop bitterness. Alcohol seems to be hidden well. Fine brew.

Wow, I was excited to try this one. Color was a golden orange. Smell was MALT!, some fruit, some spiciness. The beer is very thick. The mouthfeel is amazing, so thick and sweet. An awesome take on the style, and a great beer nonetheless.

Light amber with slowly diminishing white head that laces well. Apples, caramel, bread, spice, cinnamon. Malty sweet, bready and smooth. Alcohol a little noticeable. Another nice doppel from Capital.

(Bottle, gift from <A HREF=http://www.ratebeer.com/ViewUser.asp?UserID=2 target=blank>OhioDad, thanks Scott!) This was a clear light, very slightly reddish-tinted orange, with a thin off-white head that disappears to a film. Aroma of bread, honey and malt. Scant lacing. Mouthfeel smooth, light, a little syrupy as well as prickly. Taste is moderately sweet, honeyish, lightly malty, touch of bitter in finish. No alcohol apparency. On the light side for a doppel. Has an easy and pleasant feel.

A good head on a golden pillow. Sweet aromas abound. This brew is mildly sweet with hints of roast. Semi creamy effers are appealing. The finish is long and sweet with a touch of tobacco skank.

(Bottle) Pours a light amber color with a white head. Aroma of light and dark malts, with some dark fruit as well. Taste includes a lot of rich malts, with some biscuit and caramel. Creamy, almost oily mouthfeel. A solid beer that is very drinkable at the same time.

Heavy malt aroma smelled like light bread with a hint of sweet oats or grain. Poured an average, frothy, white, fully diminishing head. The body was clear and had a reddish amber hue. Initial flavor was sweet, as was the finishing flavor. Duration of finish was average. Full bodied and creamy beer.
