Commercial Description:
A deep golden color leads one to an extremely flavorful, yet very drinkable beer of great character. Treat this malt monster with respect! Available March and April.

Beer pours a dark honey golden color with a big, mostly dissipating egg white colored head. Aroma is rather intriguing with big bread notes along some fruit aromas. Flavor is initially sweet, like sweet bread. The finish is dry. I had high expectations for this one and it didn’t quite measure up.

Bottle from Archer Liquors. Pours copper with a little creamy/bubbly white head. Aroma of lightly roasted malt with a touch of something like citrus. Medium plus body with creamy carbonation. Flavor is definitely lightly roasted malt with some hop bitter for balance. Hop is floral/earthy rather than citrus/pine. Fairly tasty.

Amber color with quickly dissapating little bubbles but no real head. Nose of malt extract syrup and alcohol. Very malty flavors with burnt caramel and almost maple syrup sweetness. Very soft mouthfeel. Tastey beer but not for every day.

Amber with an orange glow. Slight nutty sweet nose. Very smooth with a touch of alcohol at the finish.

Thanks to hey_kevin for a taste of this very good Capital. Pours a light red color with very little head. A sweet caramel and vanilla aroma and flavor. Has a unique burnt, ashy, peachy finish. However, this finish is very mild and provides a nice contrast from the sweet beginning.

Had this one on draught at the brewery in Middleton, Wisconsin. Cloudy, dark golden pour with a light nose of spice and nutmeg, bitter but malty, complex finish.

Deep yeasty aroma. Big malty flavor, definitely one of Capital's better offerings. Alcohol is well concealed. Would have again. Would taste good with red meat.

Sampler from bottle. Boy, why can’t I get hands on more Capital beers? Anyway, this is very light in color… as befits its name, I guess. Sugary and malty, kind of like french toast with syrup. Yet I like this one a lot.
