Golden yellow with thin beige head. Awesome aroma of marshmellows adn milk chocolate. Actually smells just like warm nestle Quik with a marshmellow. Smooth malt monster finishes with a sweet note that lingers for ~30 sec.

I looked forward to taste testing this 2006 World Beer Cup bronze medal winning dopplebock and it did not disappoint. It pours a beautiful golden amber color with small white head. Its aroma is a bit hoppy while the texture is soft and creamy. The taste is beautifully balanced, not bitter, medium bodied and nicely carbonated. The finish is crisp and leaves the palate refreshed and clean. A really Capital brew!

Golden amber with good, creamy off-white head / Sweet, syrupy, winey nose / Full-bodied, syrupy, with rich, sweet malts with no discernable hops and good, long finish / Dessert wine flavors of oranges, hazelnuts, violets, caramel, and honey / Drinking late in season - wondering if it’s aged some since bottling? Superb.

Pours an orangey amber with a one finger head that dissipates quickly and leaves minimal lacing. Aroma is sweet sugary malts and some yeast. Taste is honey, camel, bananas, apples, and cotton candy. Mouthfeel is smooth and creamy. Incredibly drinkable - perfect compliment to a beautiful spring day!

Good sized creamy white head that left some terrific lacing. The colour is a pleasent golden yellow that has a bit of amber in it. It’s very carbonated. The aroma was malty, but not very distinctive. This is very tasty. There’s a hint of hops, but TONs of malt. It tingles nicely on my tounge and has a sticky creamy mouthfeel. There’s a bit of an alcohol aftertaste but is managable. Very flavourful and easy to drink.

Deep clear crystal amber, orange with thick head and medium sized bubbles. Ton’s of malt and alcohol on the nose, marshmellow and candy, some flesh fruits. Creamy sweet banana, cherry, soft midpalate smooth, with warming alcohol on the finish.

Out of the tap--pretty orange amber with a tan head that calms down slowly. Nice lacing. Huge initial maltiness. Very sweet. Alcohol taste is evident but not obtrusive. Creamy & smooth with lots of heft. After about 3/4 of the glass on an empty stomach, the buzz kicked in with a vengeance. Very nice overall.

Amber Coloring. Very smooth and easy to drink given the alcohol rating. Definitly worth trying.
