That said, this brew had a small white head with small bubbles that fully diminished. The lacing was fair and the body was clear with an orange hue. It had a light malty aroma and a hoppy aroma of citrus. There was no carbonation observed with this brew. It was bitter tasting from start to finish and lingered for a while after finishing this drink. The mouthfeel was smooth, light and somewhat watery. thegreenrooster (1842), St.louis, Missouri, USA
| 3.2 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 13/20 | Apr 21, 2009 Pour is an orange with a average white head. Aroma is of doughy sweet malts with some fruity esters. Flavor is again sweet malts with some yeast. I can’t give this a better score as the sweetness kind of gets more cloying the more you drink it. Still it has some qualities just not something i would probably get again. Pailhead (2605), Allen Park, Michigan, USA
| 3.2 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 5/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 14/20 | Jun 18, 2005 Bottle: Courtesy of Styles. Aroma is very light. Faint sweetness with a light grassy hoppiness. Pours a transparent amber with a very small head that is quickly a ring. Very sweet up front with brown sugar, caramel, and light fruit. Light spice with an even lighter grassy hoppiness comes into the mixture in the finish but sweetness still dominates and lingers into the aftertaste. Aroma definitely hurts the final score. | 3.2 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 14/20 | Apr 9, 2005 Thanks to Duane, Poured a hazy brown with a huge foamy tan head. Immediate Banana aroma. As foam settled, left very good lacing. Aroma of banana, yeast and maybe clove? Taste was sweet/sour malt. Flat taste even with the many tiny bubbles, while not awful, just not my cup of tea. But the ABV was well hidden. richlikebeer (832), Easton, Pennsylvania, USA
| 3.2 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 14/20 | May 10, 2005 thanks to duane for the bottle, pours a hazy light brown color with a thin layer of white head. aroma is sweet and malty, with some yeasty tones coming up. the flavor is packed with sweetness, tons of malts and just abit of hops at the end of the mouthful. body is pretty full for a beer this light, a rich almost creamy mouthfeel. there is a hint of the alcohol at the tail end, and that is actually what lingers from the aftertaste. overall a very flavorful brew, but a little one dimensional (all sweet malts). | 3.1 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 10/20 | Jan 15, 2007 Pours a clear copper color, with a bare trickle of head. No lacing, no head retention. Strong malt and alcoholic nose.
Interesting malt flavor - honey, spicy, and even earthy. Very sweet all the way through, too sweet for me actually, with a spicy bite of hot alcohol in the finish. Medium full body, alcoholic warmth, and too slightly carbonated. I don’t dislike the beer, really, but two in a sitting just does not appeal to me marcus (1896), Sacramento, California, USA
| 3.1 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 13/20 | Sep 5, 2009 This light copper beer poured with a decent off-white head and a toffee aroma. There is a hearty roasted malt flavor that starts off sweet, but turns more bitter and medicinal at the finish.
