Poured an effervescent golden with a semi-creamy off-white head that stayed on the beer. Light aroma of grapes, syrup, and a touch of grassy hops, not unlike other paler lagers. Taste is rather sweet and rich. Grapes and honey dominate. Very little hop presence and a semi-sweet finish, less dry than the dark it seems, and perhaps a tad more drinkable. Alcohol well hidden. Rich yet refreshing. donrajin (233), Roanoke Rapids, North Carolina, USA

I was quite pleased with this. A strong malt flavor and alcohol. Had a beautiful golden color. Nice overall impression. I will be sampling more doppel’s now thanks to this one. I would like to try Autumnal Fire for comparison, but it’s seasonal and you can’t get it where i’m at. OhioDad (2491), Hilliard, Ohio, USA

Light malty aroma of caramel, some grains, and just a touch of the alcohol. Flavor is nice strong malts, caramel, a bit of toffee, some fruits there too though. A little orange, some raisins, and some honey sweetness as well. Palate is medium bodied and almost sticky in the mouth. Clings to your tongue like honey. Not much carbonation. Very nice brew. Enjoyable! HogTownHarry (4020), Toronto (Harbourfront), Ontario, Canada

Poured lovely bubbly amber-gold with a lasting average beige head. Bready light roast malt aroma, apricot and citrus fruitiness, and floral hops - I could smell the bread dough yeast from 2 feet away. Sweet malt and fruit taste to start, some fresh grain and very light hop bitterness in the finish - delivers on what the nose promised - very nice. Thickish mouthfeel for the style, light carbonation with a medium linger initially, with a longer noticeably alcoholic finish as it warms - no aftertaste, very refreshing, I’d have this again for sure. ryan (1781), Beltsville, Maryland, USA

Clear Amber color with a thin but creamy head. This is quite good. Not too sweet. Definitely malt driven but I like the flavor. Refreshing; it’s a winner and my first rating from Capital brewing.
