Commercial Description:
This brown ale has a deep brown tone and an exceptionally creamy head which is derived from imported crystal malts. The crystal malts are also responsible for a rich, nutty flavor. Mild hop presence from imported Fuggles and Brewers Gold balance the unique malt combination

Bottle pours a brown color with a short lasting head. The aroma is caramel and hops. The flavor is slightly nutty, caramel, Ale fruity characteristics, and mild hops. The palate is medium rich. Overall, not bad for a Lager brewer.

Brilliant ruby red with a thin, white head. Creamy, toasted nuts, wheatabix, brown sugar and caramel for sweetness. The body is perhaps slightly thin, but not too unpleasantly so. The flavors show a nice combination of toasted grains and sweet malts. The hops don’t figure into the situation too much, but provide an interesting kick at the tail end of this one. The finish is a little long with a continued emphasis on the sweetness. Nothing too impressive, but solid nonetheless.

12 oz bottle: malty hazelnut aroma with some sweet raisins, plums and overly ripe pears. A light chocolate spice in the aroma transforms the creamy truffle palate. Nutty prune flavours that are on the dry side. Finish is a fruity sweetness that leaves the mouth a bit parched. After thoughts of dry cherry skins and bitter honey.

Average brown ale that I enjoyed with some food at the Winking Lizard in downtown Cleveland.

Deep amber color out of the bottle with a beige ring for a head with some lacing. Sweet malty nose. Lots of caramel malt sweetness and the astringent grain taste that I associate with brown ales. Decent balance and good with food.

Nice light brown color. No head, but lots of carbonation. A little nutty taste, but nothing too impressive. Kind of bland, but nice to drink.
