Pours a mostly clear, medium maroonish brown with a moderate lasting offwhite head. Smell is as expected and malty and almost nutty. Flavor is malty and nutty similar to the nose and has a noticeable light hop character on the backend. Nothing fancy, but drinkable and a decent brown ale, all around. shp555 (1687), Atlanta, Georgia, USA

A generous mix of chocolate, malt flavors, and the nuttiness that many browns claim to have, but so few actually show. Clean finish and mild aftertaste mean it does not linger on the palate. Very considerate of it, being that I went on to have other beers that night.
