Commercial Description:
This brown ale has a deep brown tone and an exceptionally creamy head which is derived from imported crystal malts. The crystal malts are also responsible for a rich, nutty flavor. Mild hop presence from imported Fuggles and Brewers Gold balance the unique malt combination

12 oz. twist-off bottle, no freshness date, sampled in a pint glass. A tarnished reddish copper appearance, foamy off-white head that slowly receded into a thin sudsy lacing, minimal amount of sticking. Light caramel nutty nose with an even lighter floral hoppiness at the edges. Smooth moderate body, softly crisp and dry finishing. Pleasant, but undistinguished brown ale taste, sweet caramel malts, a mild raw nuttiness, soft fruity hops that turn earthy and spicy in the end. Easy drinkability, but not enough character to sustain interest past a couple of pints.

Dark amber with fair, creamy tan head / Bread and caramel nose / Light body with high carbonation and fair finish / Simple flavors of caramel and roast malt / A fine enough, simple brew.

Poured a dark and clear brown with a good sized tan head that left some nice lacing. Aroma of roasted nuts, cooked venison, bananas. Tasted of roasted cocoa, nuts and a little hint of apricot. Aftertaste was much like the beer. A pretty basic, but above average brown ale because of it’s complex flavor.

Dark brown with a thin off-white head. A little thin with hints of brown sugar and caramal in the flavor. Mild nutty aroma

Serving: 12 oz bottles shared by Jason. Thanks for bringing this with you and sharing...
Event: Rye Pale Ale (10 gallons) brew out.
Location: shigadeyo’s house.

Tasting Notes
Aroma: Caramel and some fruits and light nut.
Appearance: Hazy chesnut brown color with a dense, creamy and rocky head that looks like whipped cream. It also leaves some lacing.
Flavor: Chocolate and caramel malt. Also has some creamy butterscotch/toffee flavors like an English beer.
Palate: Medium to medium-full body that’s smooth, creamy, and mellow.
Overall: A good English-style Brown Ale and another fine brew from one of my new favorite microbreweries.

Picked up bottle from Cellars LexLarp. Color is a clear beer bottle brown and bubbly white head sits atop, leaves lace. Aroma has a light sweet bread malt with some hazelnut. Taste is the same with more nut and light hoppy bitterness. Feel is medium bodied, moderate and smooth.

Bottled. Poured a clear coppery orange with a creamy cap of beige head. Nose picked up woodsy and nutty notes with herbal hops and a hint of detergent. Flavor was fuller than the nose with sweet, dry chocolate, nutty notes, and a mild herbal bitterness... sweet, pleasant finish. Creamy enough across the middle of the palate but had an odd, dry feel at the edges.. nice session-type brew.

Granted I am a sucker for most nut browns and I have a bit of the cheese head in my blood but I honestly love this beer. It has just enough complexaty to bring you back but is easy going enough that you don’t need to study for hours. An every day beer.
