Aroma of malt and molasses. Dark brown body, thin tan head, some lace. Flavor built around rich, raisiny malts, caramel, toffee, nuts, some green apple, a little fusel. Overall quite tasty. Thick bodied, but lively on the tongue.

Pretty much what you would expect from the name. A malty doppelbock with a little extra alcohol. Dark with a brownish/tan head and a light toffee aroma.

On draught at the brewery taproom in Middleton, Wisconsin. Pours a clear dark cola brown brew with a creamy beige head that has some nice retention and spotty lacing. When served cold, allow this to warm up a little. Aroma of toasted caramel malt, a touch of brown sugar, toffee and some alcohol. Taste is full bodied, light carbonated with flavors of roasted caramel malt, roasted nuts, dark pitted fruits, a hint of raisins and plenty of alcohol. Finish has a high alcohol warmth that hides most of the aftertaste, plus a semi-dry character. Surprisedly different than the former Dark Doppelbock Capital brewed over two years ago, but definitely higher in alcohol.
