This is a good summer refresher with a nice wheat flavor and hints of honey. Short and sweet.

Pours cloudy, yellow/orange. Minor head. Strong wheat and yeast aroma. Excellent, solid mouth feel. with a wheat and citrus flavor. Mild hop bitter finish.

Maybe it was the right time at the right place, but they sure hit the mark as a summer outdoor in the sun kind of beer. Was golfing with my Dad and brother and this was the only wheat and since I never tried it, and was in Wisconsin, I thought what the heck. I was pleasantly surprised and after 7 by the time I fininshed 18holes,(I might usually have 3 or so per round), I am convinced my play was aided by the Cap Island Wheats

A good wheat beer. Pale blonde and a bit cloudy. Taste like Sierra Nevada wheat and most others.

On tap for the brew tour. I’ve really been into wheats lately so I was interested to try this one. Pours a yellow hazy color with a white head. Malty nose I pick out the wheat giving it a creaminess. Wheaty/creamy flavors light sweetness a little grain in the finish. ok.

7/9/07 - On tap from the brewery. Cloudy yellow with large white head. Charteristic wheat aroma. Tastes of sour malt , and wheat. Med body and fizzy. Solid wheat but not too exciting. 5/3/5/2/10 = 2.5

4/15/08 Rerate from 17thfloor, thanks for all the wheat beers Garret. Hazy dirty yellow with medium to large white head, defintely the most attractive of the wheats so far. Yeast and wheat aroma. Flavor is very yeast forward with dry malt sweetness, orange and nice wheat presence though it is a little chalky. Medium and creamy body. This might be better than I remember but maybe it is just better in comparison to the other wheats I had tonight.

Has a fruity aroma, not wheaty. Flavor is simple, clean and very easy drinking. A nice crisp summer beer. Good stuff.

Slightly hazy straw body, thin off-white head. Tangy, fruity wheat aroma. Light, grassy body, thin and somewhat tangy. There’s very little here to grasp, which makes it easy to chug. Which is the point, of course. Which doesn’t make for a great rating, either. Which I just posted.
