| 3.2 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 14/20 | Sep 6, 2006 Pours a well-hazed golden/tan with a creamy yet sudsy head that is just off-white and leaves a trail of wet lace. Aroma shows notes of soap under husky roasts. Head quaffs like Golden Grahams. Light flavors of honey and lemon to a hearty wheat base. Rather thick in the mouth... too much so to be "refreshing" as described. Flavor hangs with a dry sourness. All that said, it was still enjoyable.

| 2.1 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 5/10 | 3/5 | 4/10 | 2/5 | 7/20 | Aug 18, 2006 Bottle: Poured a hazy yellow hue topped by a small lasting frothy head and good lace. The nose detected a weak wheat and sweet malt vapor along with some bubblegum and tempered lemon zest. The taste is quite bland, with all the usual flaws of most American Wheat beers. Worse yet is there is a band-aid off-flavor which ruined any hope for the brew. The feel is equally boring, it watery and is not even lively or spritzy. Arggh, I hope for better. Hazy yellow body with white head filled the Island Wheat pint glass bought from the gift shop at Brewery. Aroma was of lemons and wheat grain noticable. Flavor had a zest to the lemon sweetness and malt for a medium bodied brew. Must of had some good carbination got a big belch on the finish. radiomgb (2073), Peterborough, Ontario, Canada

href=http://www.ratebeer.com/ViewUser.asp?U target=blank>OhioDad, thanks Scott. Golden yellow in colour, thin dissipating white head ring around the glass, thin lacing. The aroma is quite sweet, some wheat, lemons, grains and grass. The flavour has some sweetness (not as much as the aroma), wheaty, sticky, some grains and herbs. Lightly bitter mouthfeel, light body, medium/high carbonation. Finishes with a mild lingering sweetness. Not to bad, a little bit too sweet, possibly a bit boring. hopdog (5630), Lansdale, Pennsylvania, USA
