Aromas of lemons and wheat. Tastes of wheat and lemons. Straight forward wheat beer that I found to be refreshing. Cornfield (4972), Oak Forest, Illinois, USA
| 3.1 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 12/20 | Sep 26, 2006 This poured a very slightly hazed golden body with a modest white head. The aroma is somewhat yeasty, soap-like, with soft wheat, a suggestion of lemon, and some mild spices. It’s quite creamy and soft in the mouth. The flavor’s honey-sweetened wheat with a small bit of lemon tartness and light spicing. Pretty decent brew for Summer months.

Mild pale malt aromas dominate the nose. Hints of fruit, dough and light caramel. Full feel. Wheat bread flavors throughout. Hints of floral hops. More a cream ale than a wheat, but a decent brew. | 4.1 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 5/5 | 8/10 | 5/5 | 17/20 | Mar 28, 2006 12 oz bottle courtesy of DavidP, served a bit above fridge temperature in a Flying Fish pint. Beautiful pour: unfiltered foggy light lemon-gold with a fluffy cumulous-cloud head of some stability....light sour whole wheat, lemon and faint spicing in the nose, touch of lime, might be beguiling if it were a bit more assertive.....very smooth, light and refreshing, crisp body with light sourness, beautifully balanced German yeast quality and faint floral noble hops, lightly citric and juicy at the front but becoming quite dry and grassy to finish....this is so gorgeously drinkable, with a touch of mineral saltiness at the end that, believe it or not, really adds to the thirst-quenching aspect....just amazingly bright, fresh, clean and beautifully, subtly sour. I’m astounded, this really is hitting me just right and I wonder at my disconnect from the previous ratings. No matter, one cannot reason with Love. heemer77 (4311), Savannah, Missouri, USA
| 3.3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 13/20 | May 4, 2006 Thanks for teh bottle, Duane. Poured with a slightly hazy gold body. The bubbles are numerous and moving fast. The head is white and small bubbled. The aroma is lemons with some hay. There is also some fresh short bread cookies. The taste is dry and very slightly lemon tasting. There is also some dark bread crust and a hint of iced tea. Leaves a fair amount of lacing on the sides of the glass. Good for a style I do not like. | 2.1 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 5/10 | 3/5 | 4/10 | 2/5 | 7/20 | Aug 18, 2006 Bottle: Poured a hazy yellow hue topped by a small lasting frothy head and good lace. The nose detected a weak wheat and sweet malt vapor along with some bubblegum and tempered lemon zest. The taste is quite bland, with all the usual flaws of most American Wheat beers. Worse yet is there is a band-aid off-flavor which ruined any hope for the brew. The feel is equally boring, it watery and is not even lively or spritzy. Arggh, I hope for better.
