biermensch (64), USA May 27, 2006 Bottel after drinking a Widmer’s draught. I preferred the Capital. Pours a cloudy pale gold, with lots of carbonation. An American Wheat, without the strong cloves, etc., that I dislike in the German wheat beers. Not a Gumballhead, my favorite for the style, but certainly drinkable.
Narnad (156), Wonder Lake, Illinois, USA Oct 26, 2008 Pours very cloudy banana yellow with a thick foamy white head and high carbonation. Aroma is very light of wheat and some very faint banana scent. Flavor is bland, kinda grainy flavor with some sweet wheat flavor. Mouth feel is decent for the style, carbonation provides a nice tingle when drinking. Overall an okay beer but would much rather have some of their other offerings to this one. KYackley (17), , Minnesota, USA Oct 22, 2008 Citrus scent that is quite pleasing, light golden color with a foamy white head, flavor is smoother and more full than anticipated and quite sweet, finishes light, overall a good hot weather brew ChristianScheffel (2318), Odense, Denmark Oct 10, 2008 Cloudy yellow with a small white head. Weak bread crust aroma. Thin and sweet grainy malt flavour. Amazingly boring beer... CaryTheDude (443), Ripon, Wisconsin, USA Oct 8, 2008 Yeah, wheat ales are just boring, aight? It looks like hazy pee...so maybe a gonorrhea piss? Sourness is the only thing I can really place here, and some wheat of course. noncaloric (166), Madison, Wisconsin, USA Oct 7, 2008 Aroma: Faint, sour in an unpleasant way. Appearance: Hazy blond pour, voluminous white head, abundant lace. Flavor: Intensely wheaty, dusty, tart. The acidity is more sour milk than lemon. The beer isn’t altogether unpleasant, but there’s an edge in it that evokes eating wheaties after the milk has turned. Palate: Lively carbonation, dusty, dry, puckering.
