More of those arrive in the taste. Wheat makes itself very present. Excellent balance in the ingredients. A paradox: it quenches your thirst wonderfully, but it makes you ache for more! alebrewer (122), Mentor, Ohio, USA
| 3.3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 13/20 | May 27, 2004 Nice head with good weizen aroma of clove and fruit/banana. Darker than expected. Very malty taste, but the major drawback for me was the lingering sweetness. ztrvz (218), st paul, Minnesota, USA

| 3.6 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 5/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 13/20 | Apr 28, 2004 Very good for an American brewery to produce this German style hefe. Big head with tones of clove in the nose. Spicey/clove character in the taste. Falconseye8 (525), Cartersville, Georgia, USA
| 3.8 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 15/20 | Apr 18, 2004 Not bad. Has a spicy/veggie flavor I wasn't expecting. Its a good wheat beer but not exceptional like Wisconsin Amber. Then again, we're talking about my tastes buds. Capital Brewery is totally awesome and makes some incredible beer. tomxcs (315), Golden, Colorado, USA
| 3.4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 15/20 | Apr 10, 2004 Pours a yellow/amber color with a large white head, opaque body. Aroma is very fruity -- bananas me thinks. Not very strong flavors, some fruits and rather sweet. I enjoyed it. Nuffield (2724), Roseville, Minnesota, USA
| 3.6 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 14/20 | Apr 9, 2004 Despite a few reservations, I thought this was an overall attractive and enjoyable beer. It poured with a luminescence as the setting sun shown through my kitchen window and through the orange/amber body, vaguely reminescent of fruit juice, only with a small-to-moderate head. The aroma held some interest, classicly hefeweizen, banana in particular. The flavor had all the elements: at first I thought clove, but then my wife exclaimed "citrus" and she was right, with some orange in particular. Then as the carbonation faded a bit I sensed more in the way of banana. I finished about half the bottle and then took a brief nap, about a half hour, and came back to my beer. It was not quite yet at room temperature but the palate had faded and under those conditions it was a sticky, bock-like body with a flavor of malty alcohol. That wasn't a fair test of the beer. So, drink it reasonably cold and reasonably quickly and you've got yourself a sweet, flavorful, and lively beer. Syd (903), Waconia, Minnesota, USA
| 3.5 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 15/20 | Mar 26, 2004 Bottle pours an amber color with a nice sediment haze, decent head, and good lace. The aroma is sweet and banana like. The flavor is slightly clovy, but more spicy, with some lesser ripe - almost sour banana flavors. The palate is cleansing and refreshing. Overall, this is pretty good.
