Nose is sugary, bubblegum and taffy, a bit piney as well. Banana and clove dominate the flavor, sweet sugariness continues in the tasting. Very clean, crisp, and classic. Palate is a bit syrupy, has a very nice fizziness to it, reminds me somewhat of ginger ale in its fizz and character. TheDean (785), MIlwaukee, Wisconsin, USA

Bubble gum, banana, clove, doughy bread, and a bit of spice. Tasting this beer also shows immense sweetness. A lot of bubble gum, banana, clove, a hint of ginger and citrus. Not really the best Hefeweizen in the world, but one that is light and easy to drink. Very thirst quenching. hennes (932), Fountain, Michigan, USA

Anyway, the best thing about this brew is the steady ginger and clove swim of spices up through the decent wheat body. BBB63 (4238), La Porte, Indiana, USA
| 3.3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 13/20 | Aug 9, 2003 Hazy yellow hue with outstanding head and okay lacing. Aroma hinted of banana, lemons, clove, and grains. Taste started off citrusy and very lively, turned spicey and malty midway through, hinted of acidic nature on the aftertaste. Thin to medium-bodied, watery mouthfeel. Overall as good but not great hefe, would drink again if had the chance. DrnkMcDermott (1854), Downers Grove, Illinois, USA

The wheat is apparent when I crack the crown. Light amber-orangey color under the usual light head. I got a taste of cherry and lemon more than the traditional banana, maybe a hint of clove. Seemed more like a Belgian than anything German, but still very enjoyable. I'll have to try to find another one sometime soon. celogan (190), Oroville, California, USA

Little to no lacing. Taste is interesting. Not as bad as I feared after drinking an over cloved Summit Hefe. The cloves are there, but subtle. There is a taste somewhat of banana and citrus. Pretty decent actually. I wouldn't seek this out any time soon, but I sure wouldn't turn it down by any means, and would gladly drink it again if I had some around. beermatrix (1497), Twin Cities, Minnesota, USA
| 4.4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 9/10 | 4/5 | 8/10 | 5/5 | 18/20 | Jun 24, 2003 Color is a light yellowy-orange, sorta hazy with a super white head of light froth that faded to fast, leaves some good patchy lace. Smell is lightly lemony, good amount of banana sharp and quick, yeast and wheat bouncing around off the nose. Taste is sweetly lemon and balanced in well of malt, a bit zesty but smooth and easy, quite nice, good impactful character. Feel is light and zesty clean, rough textured and slightly pulpy within the whole gulp. Good refreshing beer, zesty and smooth.
