| 3.8 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 2/5 | 8/10 | 4/5 | 16/20 | Dec 26, 2002 Certainly one of the beers that contributed to my liking of German wheats. Head gone way too fast, pale, cloudy body with nice legs. Smells of banana eseters from 3 feet away. butter and bananas, like fresh banana bread slathered heavily with salted butter! Slippery smooth, but kind of slick mouthfeel. Nice sweet yeasty brew, clean finish. Good Wheat! kmeves (1081), Mount Pleasant, Wisconsin, USA

| 3.6 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 8/10 | 4/5 | 14/20 | Nov 9, 2002 Had this in a bottle. Nose of grains and cereals, perfume and flowers. Pours a cloudy
amber. The dense white head is creamy, and mostly diminishing with fair lacing. The
flavor is balanced and somewhat on the sweet side. Light acidity is present with an
average sweet wheat finish. Very good balance and decent depth. The thin creamy palate
is soft and light. Finishes slightly dry. Quite a bit more tolerable than most wheatish
brews I’ve tried with not nearly the overwhelming fruitiness. A very refreshing brew, and
an interesting style. I like it. bbrock81 (221), Le Mars, Iowa, USA
| 3.9 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 5/5 | 8/10 | 4/5 | 16/20 | Oct 31, 2002 A nice little weizen. Nice and cloudy, the added yeast really helps to mellow out the brew. Nice and smooth, tastes good (a bit too much of the banana-flavor for me), looks just like it should, but there is very little head that dissipates quickly and it smells a little interesting (again the banana-ness). All in all a decent beer. Not the best wheat by quite a ways, but not the worst by a long way either. Terminus (1955), Las Cruces, New Mexico, USA
| 3.3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 2/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 14/20 | Oct 23, 2002 Updated: Jan 6, 2005reRate-this beer is exactly how i remembered it 2 years ago. pours a hazy orange hue with medium carbonation and small white head. the banana in this beer is massive! very crisp and refershing body. its only problem was a pour appearance-not much head and slugish carbonation for the style. a little metalic as well in the finish.
captaincougar’s review hits the spot-strong emphasis on the aroma-alot of clove. no head to mention, but a very unique taste for a hefe. VERY lemony feel and palate-not realy my thing, but good for the style none the less CaptainCougar (5530), Rockville, Maryland, USA
| 3.7 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 8/10 | 4/5 | 15/20 | Oct 18, 2002 I tried it at first without swirling the bottle to stir up the yeast, and I wasn’t too fond of it. You must swirl the bottle or do something to stir up the sediment at the bottom, in order to fully experience this brew. Once I added the yeast the beer took on a whole new character. The spice became well balanced and the body was much smoother. There is a lot of clove flavor and aroma in there. It is a very accurate representation of its style. One of the best American made Hefe Weizens around. Rockinout (946), Kent, Ohio, USA
| 3.7 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 4/5 | 8/10 | 3/5 | 16/20 | Sep 22, 2002 Cloudy medium to light golden color. Tiny bubbles, head disappeared quickly, crisp. Just a hint of mild clove. Clean, short finish.
