Commercial Description:
A bock beer with a beautiful, deep golden hue. Very smooth, this beer has great depth of character, and is an excellent beer to celebrate the end of winter and beginning of spring. Available February through April.

It was the beastly trader BBB63 that sent me this beer yesterday! He’s one hell of a great guy, and I hope he makes his way down here sometime so we can shoot the shit and sample so brews together!

Pours a nice orangey / golden / amber body and a thin wispy white head. The aroma is fairly malty.. Fruity… sweet with plums, apples, nectarines, and pear juice. The flavor is sweet and syrupy.. Grains .. cracked wheat, wild rice, sweet summer corn, crystal malts. But the sweet fruitiness is most abundant.. a little toasted wheat bread likeness… very tasty and drinkable. Slightly warming finish… and the palate could use a little more texture… I seem to be fond of these Capital brews!

Amber body with a quickly diminishing white head. Floral-sweet aroma with a touch of peppery spice. Big malty flavor with a dusty dryness in the aftertaste. The hops aren't as distinct in the taste, but the pepper notes are still there. Suprisingly enough, I'm getting fairly strong alcohol notes in the aftertaste as well.

Good beer. Malty sweet flavor. Too much malt. Yellow in color. Needs to be more balanced, not bad though.

Clear and yellow. Malty aroma and clean. Malty sweet flavor. A little too much malt, and needs a touch more hops to be properly balanced. But not bad.

Clear golden hue with average white head and good lace. The aroma hints of roasted caramel malts, apple, white grapes, very floral hops, and honeycomb. The taste starts malty sweet with a minor fruitiness undertone. A touch of bitterness and pepper upon the finish. The mouthfeel is chalky, dry, and soft. Overall a good beer, with some character.

Amber color, slightly sweet scent. Taste was slightly bitter, slightly acidic. Not a great beer, but not bad either.

A clear medium amber with a large diminishing white head. Sweet malty aroma with caramel, honey, toasted bread and some floral notes. Medium watery, very slightly syrupy body with soft carbonation. Smooth. Sweet malt flavor of caramel, butterscotch, honey, a light hint of fruit - maybe red apple and pear, and a little spice in the finish. A small amount of alcohol will come through in the flavor every now and then. Good.

Bottle pours a darker amber yellow/orange with a small head and lace sheets that cling to the glass. The aroma is malty, caramel, and mimimal floral notes. The flavor is caramel malt, with a peppery finish. I detect very little hops. The body is very rich. Overall, I like it.
