Commercial Description:
A bock beer with a beautiful, deep golden hue. Very smooth, this beer has great depth of character, and is an excellent beer to celebrate the end of winter and beginning of spring. Available February through April.

Pours a light golden amber with a small creamy white head that stays on as a collar and leaves a bit lacing. Aroma is dominated by light toasted malts with some vanilla and caramel sweetness. There are some earthy hops in the background as well. The taste is a tad sweeter than the nose with the malts having a more caramel flavor. The toasted character is a bit less than in the aroma. The hops are there in the finish, though very subtle. The mouthfeel is creamy with good carbonation but still leaves a very clean, crisp finish. This is a very good maibock and I have yet to be let down by a Capital brew. These guys really know how to brew a great lager...

Pour is a clear amber with a large white head. Aroma is doughy with some caramel in there. Flavor is a little sour with some sugar and caramel. Not one of my favorite styles and this is not going to get me to go out and look for more of it.

Pours a bright yellow amber with a large white head. Beautifully effervescent. Aroma of hay and doughy malts. Flavor is grassy, bready, but overcome by a strong vegetal nature and on the whole not pleasant. Medium body, efferevescent palate.

12 oz. bottle. Pours light amber with a frothy head. Smells of sweet, doughy malt. Feels thicker in the mouth than I expected, with notes of sugar. Would rate higher if not for the bitter, almost acidic alcoholic warmth in the finish.

Pour was medium golden. Aroma was of citrus and spice. Flavor had a medium bitterness that blended well with the spices. Had some residual sweetness. Good brew.
