Commercial Description:
Without a doubt the finest dark beer brewed in the United States. Styled after a traditional Munchener-Dunkel, Dark is a rich, delicious beer combined with excellent drinkability - a rare combination.

i don’t think Cap makes a bad beer. Very decent dunkel, if not as malty as some imports.

I dig the big german theme they have at this places, its cool to get lots of styles in a wisconsin interpretation. Darker than amber. Hmm, maybe i will say brown sugar malts, as it had a little dark feel, but not too much. Fairly decent i must say.

Dark ruby color with a small tan head. Aroma and flavor of toffee, caramel and chocolate.

This to me reminded me of some Octoberfests I’ve had. This beer could stand to have a little more hop balance. Mostly german malt flavors to me.

Boltled- poured into frosty glass. Light to no head. Dark brownish in color. Oddly Smooth taste for a dark beer. Personaly, I’m not a big fan of dark beers but this beer was a quite enjoyable drink. Not too strong in hops, with a slight chocolate coffee aftertaste.

Pours a beautiful, slightly opaque, light ruby color. Smells like charred grains, but tastes suprisingly lighter. Toast, coffee, toffee, walnuts, and spicy chocolate top the flavor list. Something else is in there, something sweet, but I can’t quite put my finger on it. Extremely fizzy, though the carbonation lasts. Not a huge fan of dunkels, though the taste on this is very deep and warm, a pleasant drink.

Pours copper color with thick slightly rocky head, smooth small-celled lacing. Smells of toasted hops and caramel. Velvety smooth, if a bit light in flavor. Caramel and malty notes appear as the beer warms in my glass. The head, though now thin, has lingered until the last drop. Moderately priced and supremely drinkable.

On tap at the brewery. Rose/brown coloring. Tastes much lighter and smoother than expected. Some sweet caramel nodes and maple characteristics. One of the less spicy, less complex dunkels that I’ve had, but I’m not disappointed with it.
