Feb 11, 2004 Bottle. Aroma hinted at the malt and carmel blast that was about to churn out. It is very much a malty beer. Some bitterness as well. Certainly not the best beer, but a very drinkable German-style brew.

Feb 2, 2004 Appearance: dark beer, a little lighter that others I have had, with very little head.
Smell: caramel
Taste: does not have a strong taste until the bitter aftertaste. This is not one of the better dark beers I have had.
Mouthfeel: thin and unmemorable.
Drinkability: Sure you could drink it, but you can also drink The Beast. This is not one of the better dark beers I've had, so I'm not going to resample this one.

Jan 19, 2004 Clear ruby with a medium diminishing off white head. Sweet malty aroma of caramel with hints of fruit and roast. Medium watery body with a moderate amount of carbonation. Very smooth. Mildly sweet, weak flavor of caramel and red apple with a tiny bit of chocolate. Not bad.
