Reminds me of Dark Ballantine at Lum’s (that was a long time ago!).A little too sweet, but bold and refreshing.

On Tap at brewery: Sweet char malt\evergreen on smell. Dark mahogany appearance. Sweet, very smooth on palate. Nice carbonation. Very dry finish with some hops.

Bottle from Duane. Good looking beer. Dark copper/brown color with a decent cream colored head. A little bit of coffee and caramel in the aroma. Taste was the same, but since I’m not much of a coffee guy, this isn’t one I would drink too often.

Malty, a hint of honey, not overly sweet, easy drinking, but flavored well. Caramel is nice in this one, a good brew! thanks to Duane for this one!

Bottle: Copper hued brown, modest off-white head, somewhat fizzy, spotty lacing.   Whole wheat bready nose, soft dark pitted fruit, and creamed honey.   Interesting...   Rich malty flavor, slight caramel, sweetened whole wheat, with very slight dark and pale fruit skin.   Body and mouthfeel are moderate to full, and quite smooth.   Clean finish, lingering carmelized sugar with very slight banana peel.   Pretty tasty.

12oz bottle via trade with Duane! - Thanks Duane! - Pours dark brown with ruby highlights and a nice tan head. Aromas of chocolate, caramel but quite light in aroma. Flavor is caramel, light chocolate, and some yeast. Some haylike hops also come through on the finish. Palate is light and not overly carbonated. A fair brew for a session.

12 oz. bottle. pours a deep dark tarnished copper in color with a tannish head, settles to a very small ring of lace. toasty caramel nose and flavors of the same with some wheat characteristics as well. if available in my hometown, could easily be a favorite session type of beer.

Bottle. Pours a pristinely clear dark bourbon brown with an underpowering malt aroma. Head is moderate in size with an off-white coloration that stays with the beer as a thin head that leavs consistent lacing. A quite malty sweet flavor that is not overly complex or powerful but quite tasty and satisfying hints of hop contribute a pleasant bitterness that hangs in the mouth.. It feels creamy in the mouth and lingers with an aftertaste akin to coffee.
