| 2.6 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 4/5 | 4/10 | 2/5 | 10/20 | Oct 11, 2005 does have a gorgeous firey dark oragne color, but after that it is a disappointment. I expected more spices, but this is uninteresting. Taste like dust at the bottem of the cheerio box. JCapriotti (1378), Milwaukee, Wisconsin, USA
| 3.8 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 5/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 15/20 | Oct 11, 2005 Nice copper-amber color, creamy off-white head.
Dusty oats and banana wheat in aroma.
Sweet oats with a hint of lime bitterness. Seems like another great average brew from Capital. Good balance. Sweetened grape skins that remind me of Raison D’Etre.
Overall, very nice and enjoyable. delmecum (87), Western Illinois, Illinois, USA

| 3.5 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 14/20 | Oct 7, 2005 Orange-tan. Nose sweet caramel, a bit bready. Flavor is rather sweet, lots of caramel malts with just a hint of biscuity crispness, still good but not particularly what I’d expect in an Oktoberfest. Sticky and chewy. Good stuff, even if it doesn’t fit the style particularly appropriately. HopsOrDie (687), New Lenox, Illinois, USA
| 3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 12/20 | Oct 3, 2005 Pours a deep orange color with a decent head. Aroma of malty sweet caramel. Lots of nut flavor with a soapy hop taste. Some spicey flavors come out in the aftertaste. biermensch (64), USA
| 3.2 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 12/20 | Oct 2, 2005 Had this on tap before the Badgers - Indiana game at Lucky’s on Regent Street. Tastes of sweet malt, mild spice and German hops. I found it true to style, but not quite as good as their Fest beer. Terminus (1955), Las Cruces, New Mexico, USA
| 3.5 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 15/20 | Sep 19, 2005 bottle-pours clear orange with a nice off-white head. malt, carmel, somewhat spicy marzen malt aroma with a tinge of apple as well. flavors are sweet, lightly psiced and earthy/dirty malt profile. fair bitterness for this style with those german hops. lite finish and medium body. there is that characteristic capital lager yeast tone going on as well. a little bready on the finish. not bad! | 3.4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 8/10 | 3/5 | 13/20 | Sep 17, 2005 Aroma is lightly sweet and grainy, matching the main taste of dry, subtle sweetness. A faint, warm nuttiness presents itself quickly, but fades before the finish. A lot of malt here, but the heaviness seems to weight it down.
