Commercial Description:
An authentic German style pilsner, this is Capital's largest selling beer. A superbly balanced beer, with a firm maltiness alongside hearty hop bittering and flavor notes.

This was aight but not great. Kind of plain and uneventful. I agree with Gurst when he said they’re breakin my heart with it.

Smell is skunky and stale. Taste is about the same, plus a heaping helping of hoppy bitterness, and a mysterious chemcial aftertaste that literally made me gag. I tasted several times to make sure it wasn’t a fluke, and each time I got that same disgusting rush of chemicals at the end. I mean, I love Capital Brewery, I really wanted to like this beer...but you’re breaking my heart here, guys.

Pours pale golden, small head that dissipates quickly. Almost no lacing. Smells like perfumy, sweet hops. Malt charactaristics are evident as well. Palate is watery, almost no carbonation with a distinct bitter kick from the hops on the finish.

Usual light yellow color. Not much of a head. Aroma of grainy malt and some light perfume. Flavor is lightly acidic at first but finishes off slightly bitter. The hops come through in the finish for sure. Medium body, watery texture.

Fairly nice, a good all malt lager. Gold, with a small amount of chill haze, not much head. Aroma is brightly spicy and pleasing, with some buttery malts, reminding me on the whole of their helles but with more of each ingredient. Flavor similar, but the heavier palate didn’t sit well for a pilsner, with a thickish mouthfeel. Hops became tangy and sharp in the finish. Not nearly the worst pilsner, but definitely not the best I’ve had either.

Lightly hazy orange with little or no head. Light sweet nose with some fruit and faint hop character. Rich with a light sweetness and a mid weight finish. Light corn and delicate hops.

Light hop aroma and mild hop flavor. Standard yellow. Bitter. light body. A small step above a standard lager.
