Commercial Description:
An authentic German style pilsner, this is Capital's largest selling beer. A superbly balanced beer, with a firm maltiness alongside hearty hop bittering and flavor notes.

A white head over a golden beer. Some flowery notes, but also some spice and some off-candy-like flavors. This beer is best at the brewery and it does not store well in the bottle..is prone to skunkiness. My least-favorite Capital beer.

This poured a golden, near amber color with a small white head. The aroma is grassy with some floral notes and some solid malt sweetness. Very nice malty flavors with a solid hop balance. Fairly dry, crisp finish.

Firm, frothy head, pale yellowy color. Good aromatics, fresh, floral nose. Taste is happily zingy, with an impressive hop presence on the palate, nice touch of sweetness, nowhere near as dry as Pilsner Urquell, just for example. Finish is sadly bland. A drinkable pils, but I’m not sure what makes it special.

Bottle: Clean golden hue with lasting frothy head and above average lace. The aroma has notes of grassy and aromatic hops, bready pale malts, a touch of honey, pear, and dusty esters. The taste starts with a smooth malt nature followed quickly by a nice even balance of bitters. A sublime fruity note adds some depth. The feel is refreshing enough but not as crisp as some would want in the style. A good brew and something I could see trying again.

Pours a nice golden color. Aroma is slightly malty. The flavor was very balanced with upfront malt sweetness and enough back end bitterness to satisfy.

So as I drink this one I am slightly torn. First it has been a while since I have had a good beer so this was just real good to me. But as it warmed up it just got suggary sweet with just funk all around. Man, I wish this was better but I just cant justify it.

Darker amber color with minimal head. Mildly dusty hops aroma. The taste is plain: a little hops with a little malt. It’s not my favorite beer, but probably my favorite pilsner so far. It is missing the signature hops taste though. It’s almost trying to be a Vienna.

Gold Coloring. Little Head. Can’t say this was the worst tasting Pilsner I’ve had...like it better then the 1900...but not impressed enough to want it again.
