Bite of the hops disappears too about half way through the glass. Left with a malty lager taste that's like many other American light beers. whiterabbit81 (244), Tallahassee, Florida, USA
| 3.5 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 14/20 | Dec 15, 2003 Yummy. A good pils, but not the best interpretation of the style I've ever had. Hoppy and lively, with a good flavor and nice balance. Nothing to get too excited about, but certainly a quality brew. bbrock81 (221), Le Mars, Iowa, USA
| 2.4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 4/10 | 4/5 | 4/10 | 2/5 | 10/20 | Nov 19, 2003 The aroma is light but nice. It looks exactly as a pilsener should, clear and bright. The flavor is somewhat hoppier than I tend to like, but pretty much par for the style. If I'm going to subject myself to a hoppy beer, I like an ale better for the spicy, complex flavors. Lagers I prefer to be smooth and balanced. However, if you like a lager with some bite, give Capital Pilsner a try! Schroppfy (1813), Ohio, USA
| 3.7 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 8/10 | 3/5 | 16/20 | Oct 20, 2003 A very flavorful, if a bit tart, pilsener. Striking hop profile, cutting a rather typical malt sweetness. A slight chemical feel, but otherwise I was quite impressed - c'mon some of you big lager lovers, give this a try! hotstuff (3175), Indiana, USA
| 2.7 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 4/10 | 4/5 | 5/10 | 4/5 | 10/20 | Oct 15, 2003 I found this beer to be lackluster in that it lacked character, aroma and flavor. It poured a small sized white head that contained fine sized bubbles that completely dissipated. The body was carbonated and clear with a golden hue. The nose was lightly malty and fruity with a light bitter flavor. The mouthfeel was smooth, thin and watery texture and light bodied. The lacing was very, very sparse. This beer is nothing to get excited about in my opinion. thedm (3836), Fort Wayne, Indiana, USA
| 3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 5/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 4/5 | 12/20 | Oct 15, 2003 This brew poured a medium sized head of fine to medium sized mostly lasting white colored bubbles that left behind a fair lacing and a transparent slightly hazy straw yellow colored body. The aroma was a typical medium malt hop one with a mouthfeel that was very smooth from start to finish but had a slight hoppiness in its finish. It had a thin flavor of malt and hops while being slightly bubbly. BATLMULLET (127), Highland, Indiana, USA
| 3.5 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 15/20 | Oct 13, 2003 Nice and clean. Golden with nice head. Balance actually tends to the hoppy end, with decent grain presence. Very enjoyable.
