Sep 20, 2003 Light golden in color with a very nice head. Aroma is fruit and grain with hop notes. Flavor is spicy with hop notes. As advertised, well balanced.

Aug 10, 2003 I'm not sure what makes this offering from Capital a "Special" Pilsner, when it is inferior to many of the other brews they produce. The flavor is bland, the malt and hops are mild, and the overall impression is disappointng. I had this beer with a true "Munich Lager" that was far superior. I'm still a fan of Capital, but I'll probably stay with the seasonal offerings.

Aug 7, 2003 This beer had the expected pale yellow color and thin white head. No real scent, and no real taste either. What a dull beer. How sad is it that this is Capital's best selling beer?

Jul 27, 2003 Nice golden color,small head that faded quite quickly.Malty sweet aroma,with some hints of tea as well.Malty sweet taste nice carbonation on this one,slight hint of hops show through with the after taste being mostly that of malt and hops and the feel being a bit thin but never the less well worth trying.Definately better then the Macro's but not really a far outstanding pils.

Jun 24, 2003 Color is classic pilsner - very light yellow with a thin white head about a finger high, leaves some spotty lace. Smell is sweet malt, grains, and a barely there hop presense. Taste is soild, fresh and light of sweet malt. Nicely balanced and great character in its bitterness. Everything lends itself to a smooth easy drinkin pilsner with one super solid texture. Full body thats somewhat rough in its feel, lumped into each swallow. This is one of the better pilsners I've had in quite some time, just needed to be a bit more smoother, it has great balanced taste but is a little to roughly textured for full enjoyment, but is still pretty good.

Jun 19, 2003 Nice color, OK carbonation. Head just kind of hung around ever so slightly and left a bit of lacing along the way. Aroma was kind of funky. Taste wasn't horrible, but not so great, off somewhere, with a bit of tartness.

May 7, 2003 Kind of like easy listening jazz - it's better than most mass produced stuff but rather mediocre overall. You could lie back and listen/drink in an elevator or dentist's chair.
