Commercial Description:
An authentic German style pilsner, this is Capital's largest selling beer. A superbly balanced beer, with a firm maltiness alongside hearty hop bittering and flavor notes.

Deep straw colored. Medium head. Lots of malt in the nose?! Nice mild sweetenss, not very dry. No Saaz to speak of.

A little toasty taste after an initial sugary hit. Mild hop flavor. Actually a good American example of this style

Very thin with light hops and a decent malt profile. Not my favorite style and rather bland/boring. No head. Blah.

Lightly fruity and hoppy aroma, with some green apple and lightly bready malt. Slightly hazy, medium golden color with a decent head and little visible effervescence. Flavors are actually somewhat balanced, with the spicy, peppery hops against the dry, grainy malt. Sharp, bitter finish. Really not too bad.

Wonderful golden color, nice head, crystal clear in appearance. I really enjoy this beer. Had this along with Victory Prima Pils and it was far and above the better beer. An excellent and authentic example of a pilsner. 6,5,7,4,15 Re-rate: Still one of the finest pils I have tried. Amazed by the head retention as it lasts through the whole glass.

This tastes good enough that I'm gonna say it's golden rather than yellow. Really nice head but I've been impressed a lot lately and think maybe my pouring technique has improved. Excellent lacing also. An easy drinking pils. Light bodied. Slightly overcarbonated causing a bit of a metallic taste. A little spice from the hops and some slight floral notes along with some doughy malt.

Bottle. Golden color. Pilsner like hop aroma. Bland, dry, and little flavor.

What d’ya know? It looks like a pilsner and tastes like a pilsner. Slightly metallic, and a bit limp in the mouth. Nothing remarkable.
