An authentic German style pilsner, this is Capital's largest selling beer. A superbly balanced beer, with a firm maltiness alongside hearty hop bittering and flavor notes.

Gold with good creamy white head / Grain and mild honey nose / Medium, creamy body with very good finish / Flavors of grain, clover honey, and orange, with sweet finish / Very nice, possibly comparable to Prima Pils.

Pale yellow color with a medium size white head. Aroma is light, grainy, and lightly hoppy with some Saaz detectable. Flavor is dominated by light Saaz hops, pils malt, and a crisp, refreshing finish. Not a bad pilsner - drinkable, but nothing to go crazy over.

Bottled, also thanks to Jim. Pretty much a standard American pilsner. Mild overall, hints of grass and hops.

Had this one bottled, thanks Jim! Hazy, light yellow and bubbly pour with a thick, white head. Mown hay nose. Mild. A bit of lemongrass and piney hoppiness. Finished sharp. I guess it’s a good pilsener, for what it’s worth.

(12oz bottle) Clear straw body topped by a large off-white head that lingers and leaves nice lacing. Aroma is medium sweet, grassy, bread, light grapefruit, cookie. Taste is grassy, bread, some grapefruit. Decent bitterness, but certainly no hop bomb. Creamy light-medium body, light acidity.

This is really pretty good pils. Very dry with a bit of hops throughout. A smooth sharp beer, I’m impressed with these guys so far.

Chicago trip. Monday 10:00. Bottle. Gold. Light foamy head. Strong hops aroma with a hint of vegetable or raw grain. Nice refreshing hop taste. Sharpens the palate. Crisp, brings your mouth to life.
