Commercial Description:
An authentic German style pilsner, this is Capital's largest selling beer. A superbly balanced beer, with a firm maltiness alongside hearty hop bittering and flavor notes.

Not the best offering of Capital Brewery, but enjoyable nonetheless. I never was very partial to pilsners, though.

12 oz bottle

Poured with a fast growing white foamy head. The opaque light yellow body had some mild carbonation. Scents of wheat and light hops floated from the glass, but not much was given away. It tasted pretty one-dimensional with no flavors evolving after the initial tastes of hops, grapefruit and wheat. Pleasant and easy to drink but not very complex. There are better pilseners out there but for those times when you just want something simple, this might fit the bill.

average pils, slightly thin with the expected citrus. kind of reminds me of a fizzy wheat beer.

Not a bad pilsener. Crisp and clean. somewhat malty for a pilsener which is nice. The hops border on earwax bitter but overall a good beer.

From a 12 oz. twist cap long neck brown bottle with no freshness date. Made a decent appearance, poured a clear amber hued golden with a small fizzy white head that reduced to a semi-bubbly thin lacing. Had a biscuity malt aroma with some soft floral scents in the background. Medium carbonation and a smooth, crisp medium bodied mouth feel, above average drinkability. Had a crisp. peppery, herbal hop taste at first, a mild rolling bitterness on the tongue and a dry, slightly sweet, biscuity malty finish with a little herbal flavor lingering in the palate.

Pours a cloudy golden color with a decent sized white head. Aroma of sweet malts and some citrus. Taste follows aroma. Thin body. Nothing special.

Poured a medium and cloudy golden color with an averaged sized off white head. Aromas of grain, some grass, flowers and sweet malts. For a second there, I swear I smelled strawberries (I wonder where that came from). Tastes of grain and some sweet malts. Thinner body.

a modest beer with minimal flavor. Mouthfeel is thin, hoppiness is present, but not overpowering. A bit tinny. In all, a good attempt, though nothing "special".
