Sweet Pilsener malt and some floral hops provided a very pleasant aroma. Flavor picked up some lighter fruits, noble hops, and biscuits. Rather grainy on the palate, with a nice sweet finish of citrus and wheat. Decent and refreshing pils, but nothing spectacular. DarkElf (2681), La Jolla, California, USA
| 3.1 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 13/20 | Sep 27, 2005 (12 oz bottle: Obtained in trade with hopdog, thanks Steve!) I’m not really sure why I liked this beer so much when I tried it years ago. I mean, it’s a decent beer, but not great or anything. This is a grainy pilsener, moderately sweet, a little corn flavor and perhaps a bit of smokiness, balanced by a mild hop bitterness. The grain comes out more as the beer warms up though, so it’s not a beer to drink cold. Similar grain and corn in the aroma. Light-medium body, not really a "crisp" pilsener. Slightly hazy, pale golden color. Off-white head pours to a finger’s width, gradually fading to a thin ring. Enjoyable once it warmed up. SkyinBrian (429), Collinsville, Illinois, USA

Aroma of wheat, grass, a hint of sweetness. Flavor is a slightly floral and leafy pilsner flavor, nothing too special. Palate is simple, slightly oily and not with a real considerable bite. jeffc666 (1895), Fairfax, Virginia, USA
| 2.9 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 2/5 | 12/20 | Aug 16, 2005 Murky orange. Rocky white head. The aroma is bready, cardboard, and light grass. Oxidation is evident throughout. Flavor is grainy with fading grassiness. Body is rather big for a pilsener. Not one of Capital’s better offerings.

| 3.3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 13/20 | Aug 3, 2005 Pours to a lightly hazy gold straw colored body with a thin whispy white head and good lacing. The aroma is similar to the 1900 I just sampled. It is sweet and bready malts with some floral hops. The flavor is much more assertive than the 1900. Nice bready malts with toasted characteristics and a light grassy bitter hoppyness. Tangyness like sourdough with some herbs. The palate is medium bodied
