Commercial Description:
An authentic German style pilsner, this is Capital's largest selling beer. A superbly balanced beer, with a firm maltiness alongside hearty hop bittering and flavor notes.

Bottled at Monk’s Café Wallingatan, Stockholm. Clear golden, small head. Grassy nose with paper underneath. Mid-sweet and a bit fruity. Light-medium bodied with rounded mouthfeel. The hops are there, but it’s way too sweet, too rounded and too simplistic to be a German pilsener, loosing all sense of drinkability. Feels dead dull. If anything it’s more akin to German supermarket beers like Becks or Warsteiner than the real stuff. Would not qualify among the top 1000 pilseners in Germany.

Slightly hazy golden colour. Grassy, slightly earthy hop aroma with backing bread notes. Sweet front, lightly bitter finish. Straightforward grass and bread combo.

(12oz bottle) Clear straw body topped by a large off-white head that lingers and leaves nice lacing. Aroma is medium sweet, grassy, bread, light grapefruit, cookie. Taste is grassy, bread, some grapefruit. Decent bitterness, but certainly no hop bomb. Creamy light-medium body, light acidity.

Poured a medium and cloudy golden color with an averaged sized off white head. Aromas of grain, some grass, flowers and sweet malts. For a second there, I swear I smelled strawberries (I wonder where that came from). Tastes of grain and some sweet malts. Thinner body.

A pretty good beer, but it doesn’t really taste like a pilsner. It isn’t hopped very well and has a slight sweetness in the body. Kinda reminds me of a cross between an Oktoberfest and a Kolsch.

This poured a golden, near amber color with a small white head. The aroma is grassy with some floral notes and some solid malt sweetness. Very nice malty flavors with a solid hop balance. Fairly dry, crisp finish.
